Gear It Up Communications, Inc. is a multifaceted Michigan Corporation. The company was founded by L. D. Geer, an advertising and communications expert with over three decades of experience. For over 50 years Mr. Geer has been working and vacationing in Benzie County, Michigan, where the company is located.

The company offers three basic services:

Computer Services

For over a decade, the company has been providing computer services, ranging from basic computer upgrades, new system sales, and training, to the planning, setup and management of small business networks, wired and wireless.

From the service center the company offers in-office and on-site pc services, including software training, security software upgrades and new system purchase consulting. Our service area includes Mason, Manistee, Benzie, and Leelanau Counties.

Internet Services

Gear It Up Communications began developing and managing web sites in 1996. Today the company offers design, hosting and marketing services & has developed a network of community information web sites in Northwest Michigan.

Our customers have ranged from small resort and service businesses, to national medical device product companies. The company owns and manages several linux web servers co-located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Mar Com Services

Before there was a World Wide Web, Mr. Geer was developing Advertising and Marketing Communications peripherals and was a pioneer in electronic pre-press production applications.

Experience with desktop publishing and traditional pre-press production covers three decades. Gear It Up can provide you with design services for advertising, or we can incorporate web sales into an existing site.
